With over twenty years representing public and private colleges and universities, Elizabeth has extensive experience across a wide range of regulatory compliance, governance, policy, contracting, and student and employee issues affecting higher education institutions. Most recently, Elizabeth served as general counsel of the College of the Holy Cross from 2015 to 2026. In that role, she was the college’s primary legal counsel and managed its legal affairs, advising its Board of Trustees, officers, administrators, faculty, staff and affiliated entities in connection with their activities on behalf of the institution. Before joining Holy Cross, Elizabeth served as general counsel of Bridgewater State University and prior to that, was associate general counsel at Johnson & Wales University serving its campuses in four states and online programs.

 

Before her higher education positions, Elizabeth was a partner and co-chair of the corporate department at Edwards, Angell, Palmer & Dodge where she represented public and private companies and private equity funds in all aspects of their operations, including formation, debt and equity financings, acquisitions, dispositions, Securities and Exchange Commission compliance, management and governance.
